Project Area Background:
Cambodia is one of the five most severely HIV/AIDS affected countries in Asia-Pacific region with an estimated HIV prevalence rate of 2.6%. In the last several years the HIV infection has become less concentrated in high risk groups and entered the general population.
Project Description:
Hope for a Better Future is a school focused on 90 HIV positive children and children orphaned by AIDS. HIV positive children are stigmatized because of their illness and experience much social and personal stress. We are giving these children the opportunity to learn and grow.
Project Goals:
The goal of this project is to give the HIV children the opportunity to learn and grow.
