Project Area Background:

Menyi, a small village of Guinea has approximately 300 inhabitants. Half of these inhabitants are children under the age of 15 years. In this village there is no infrastructure developed: the people do not have electricity, they have only one source of portable water for the whole village, there is no school (the nearest school is situated approximately 3km away) and are without a clinic. This situation is similar in other five contiguous villages which the project will include as well.


Project Description:

Construction of a school and at the same time a multifunctional center which includes consequent parts primary school, dining-hall, public nursery, orphanage.


Project Goals:

The inhabitants of Menyi and the concerned institutions have a piece of land with dimensions of 150x80 m for the construction of a school and at the same time a multifunctional center which will include consequent parts:

  • Primary school
  • Dining-hall
  • Public Nursery
  • Public clinic
  • Accommodations for seminars for teachers
  • Orphanage
